Additional information
Keumkyung Kuk is a researcher originally from South Korea, with a background in Chemical Engineering from Chungnam National University. After gaining two years of experience in the Korean automotive industry and spending two years travelling and working across Europe and Asia, she pursued a master’s degree at Münster University of Applied Sciences, Germany, where she developed an interest in colloid and interface chemistry. She continued her academic journey as a PhD student at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, specialising in soft colloids and nano-optics under the guidance of Prof. Matthias Karg and the mentorship of Jun.-Prof. Ivo Buttinoni. Currently at ETH Zurich, she focuses on advancing her expertise in tribology on elastomers under Prof. Lucio Isa's supervision and Dr. Robert Style's mentorship.
