Ueli Töpfer

I was born in Switzerland on June 10, 1995. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in materials science from ETH in 2019. After a one-year break during which I did an internship as an engineer in industry, I continued with a masters in materials science at ETH. During my thesis I studied multi-phase strengthened aluminium alloys using atom probe tomography. After working at a start-up for half a year, I joined the group of Prof. Lucio Isa in 2023 to pursue my PhD.
