Welcome to the Laboratory for Interfaces, Soft matter and Assembly (ISA) in the Department of Materials at ETH Zurich, Switzerland.

The ISA Lab is active in a number of research and teaching activities in the general area of soft matter systems, with a specific focus on understanding and harnessing the behavior of micro and nanoparticles at liquid interfaces, on the imaging and rheology of complex fluids and interfaces and on two-dimensional patterning and fabrication.

The group, headed by Prof. Lucio Isa, was founded on September 1st 2013 following an Assistant Professorship grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation.
